Hi there!
Today I'd like to share my latest creation with you. I made a layout (shadowbox) with an old photo of my parents, from the time they'd just met. I have used the
August sketch from Prima Marketing :
And at
Scrap Around The World they have again an amazing moodboard this month. I was inspired by the gold from the golden dress(I used golden flowers and gold colored ribbon), also the feathers on the hat (Prima resin feathers at the bottom of the photo) and the flowers on the shoe (flowers are everywhere). I also used some loose sewing thread, like the thread in the photo on the upper right, although it's not on a spool in my layout. And as for the quote: I was thinking about a different kind of "runway". In the picture, my parents were standing at the beginning of their lives together. Kind of like standing at the beginning of your own runway, like a plane, ready to take off.
Enough with the talking, here's my layout:
I've used only papers from different lines of Prima Marketing (Divine collection, Delight and Almanac) except for the music paper(found an old music book on a fleamarket). Also the flowers are only Prima and a few Petaloo, the bling swirls are also Prima (I cut them up to fit the layout). So are the stamp, the wooden clock (on the right),the wire thread, the stickers(the year) and the resin feathers. A little metal embellishment from Ingvild Bolme. For the rest I used some gesso, texture paste, Glimmermist, beads, gel medium, paper doily, a little piece of lace.
Here are a few close-ups:
I cut out the text from an 'Optimist"-flower package:
It really looks as if the little bird is flying ;)
That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by here!
Love,
Brenda xx
